Mr. Garberding joined EPIC in September 2021 as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Mr. Garberding is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial and operational strategy, the metrics to assess the strategy and the control systems designed to preserve financial integrity and report accurate financial results.
Prior to joining EPIC, Mr. Garberding’s business experience included serving as the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of AABA Energy, a midstream start-up, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Enlink Midstream. Before his role as Enlink’s CEO, Mr. Garberding served as Enlink’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He held several positions with Enlink’s predecessor, Crosstex Energy, including Senior Vice President of Business Development and Finance. Prior to joining Crosstex Energy in 2008, Mr. Garberding was assistant Treasurer at TXU Corp., where he focused on structured transactions. He was instrumental in the $45 billion sale of TXU Corp. to a group of private buyers. Previously, Mr. Garberding was a member of several structured commodity, derivative, and project finance teams at Enron North America as a Finance Manager and was an Audit Manager with Arthur Andersen LLP.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
