EPIC MARINE TERMINAL
The EPIC Marine Terminal, owned by EPIC Crude Terminal Company, L.P., is located on the Inner Harbor of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. When completed, the Marine Terminal will consist of two separate dock facilities: the West Dock and the East Dock.
The West Dock is the former International Grain Port Terminal; in June of 2019, EPIC began to re-purpose the grain export facility to enable it to export crude oil. Its design supports the loading of Aframax tankers (which are capable of transporting up to 750,000 barrels) at a max rate of 20,000 barrels per hour. The dock loaded its first tanker in December 2019.
The East Dock, located adjacent to the West Dock, is a greenfield dock facility that will be able to load Suezmax tankers (which are capable of transporting up to 1,000,000 barrels) at a max rate of 40,000 barrels per hour. The East Dock is expected to be completed in 1Q 2021.
