EPIC MARINE TERMINAL
The EPIC Marine Terminal, owned by EPIC Crude Terminal Company, L.P., is located on the Inner Harbor of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. When completed, the Marine Terminal will consist of two separate dock facilities: the West Dock and the East Dock. The West Dock is the former International Grain Port Terminal; in June of 2019, EPIC began to re-purpose the grain export facility to enable it to export crude oil. The West Dock will commence operations in early December 2019. The West Dock will be able to load Aframax tankers (which are capable of transporting up to 750,000 barrels) at a max rate of 20,000 barrels per hour. The East Dock, located adjacent to the West Dock, is a greenfield dock facility that will be able to load Suezmax tankers (which are capable of transporting up to 1,000,000 barrels) at a max rate of 40,000 barrels per hour. EPIC expects the East Dock to commence operations in the third quarter of 2020.
