Mr. Kimmel is a Partner in the Ares Private Equity Group, where he focuses on portfolio management. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Kimmel was EVP and CFO of Oryx Midstream Holdings, the parent company for the largest private crude oil midstream company in the Permian Basin.
Previously, Mr. Kimmel was a Managing Director and Head of Midstream Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for the coverage of public and private midstream companies and related financial sponsors. In addition, Mr. Kimmel was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Kimmel began his career as a Corporate and Securities Attorney at Vinson & Elkins.
Mr. Kimmel holds a B.A. in Plan II Honors and a J.D., with Honors, from the University of Texas at Austin.
